ABSTRACT
The aim of the study was to evaluate by parameters of planar foot bone scintigraphy the clinical efficacy of Sulodexide in the treatment of peripheral diabetic macro angiopathy Object of investigation were 48 patients with type 2 diabetes and peripheral macroangiopathy (28 women, 20 men, mean age - 52,8±5,7 years, mean body mass index ( 29,1 ±2,4 kg/m2). The investigation was carried out after an informed consent and in a state of good glycaemic control. Sulidexide (Vessel Due F) was applied for 10 days - 600 lipoprotein lipase releasing units (LSU) by i.m. route, 60 days -500 LSU by oral route. Before and after treatment planar foot bone scintigraphy with Tc-99m-MDP was carried out. Indices of fixation of radioactive nuclide were applied by comparison of identical zones in both feet. Elevated values of fixation before treatment were found out. After application of Sulodexide a significant reduction (p< 0,05) of indices of fixation was established. in conclusion: Planar foot bone scintigraphy investigation confirmed the positive effect of Sulodexide in peripheral diabetic macroangiopathy. Sulodexide could be part of the complex therapy of diabetic peripheral vascuiar disease.
